The Egyptian Study Society (ESS) is a Denver-based, non-profit organization dedicated to fostering interest in ancient Egyptian civilization and furthering in-depth studies into Egyptian art, culture, and history. The Egyptian Study Society brings in world-renowned speakers, as well as local ESS members, to present monthly lectures on various aspects of ancient Egypt and its culture. ESS members include both professional Egyptologists and archaeologists working and traveling in Egypt, as well as anyone interested in the culture of ancient Egypt. |
It is the mission of the Egyptian Study Society, Inc. to provide educational programs to its members and to the general public relevant to the culture and history of ancient Egypt, to promote cultural understanding of the heritage of the ancient Near East, and to promote interest in the study of Egyptology to the Colorado community. |
